I have lived in Alpharetta, GA which is now Johns Creek, Georgia for over 32 years. I have raised both of my sons who grew up here. I love our city because there has always been a great parent involvement in our schools and residents seem to really care for our community. What I would love to see more of is Home Owners Associations Presidents to spread the word to their own residents about how they can all network here on the Johns Creek City Guide. It's great to have a ONE STOP SHOP website where everything is provided for our residents. SPREAD the WORD Johns Creek Residents - tell your neighbors and tell your HOA President to put this into their newsletter to send out every month. TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! That's how a community becomes a VILLAGE and raises great children and families.
I love Johns Creek, Georgia - I love our city!

We should combine efforts of all networking groups to do joint events. Sometimes it makes it very difficult for busy people to attend all the events in the area. That is why I love seeing Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce, Johns Creek City Guide and Johns Creek Business Association joining efforts and doing large events. It's better networking this way for everyone.

This week we heard that the BAGEL Shop in Johns Creek, GA on Hwy 141/Medlock Bridge has the best bagels and one of our members went by and brought bagels to our meeting. I have to totally agree, they were the largest bagels and tasted so great. So, I will now gladly recommond Johns Creek Walk Bagel Shop to everyone. Please visit them and support them. We give them a HIGH FIVE! Thanks, Dagmar Sands

Johns Creek, GA is now 4 years old. The parade was great and I hope that you will watch the videos we've prepared for you in case you missed it. It'a almost as great as being there - it was a cold morning that day but we all had a blast!

It was alarming to hear that less than 30% of residents came out to vote. We need to make sure that our residents have a "SAY SO" in what happens in our city. Share with your friends and neighbors albout information here on this site and let us hear from YOU what can be done to strengthen our city and for everyone to be involved.

I have lived in Johns Creek for my entire life. I have attended many festivals and events here such as the Taste of Johns Creek and Arts on the Creek. However, I have not seen a music festival here before. There are a lot of people in Johns Creek who listen to live music and I think it would be a great idea to have a music festival. It could feature several local bands and maybe even a national touring band, if possible. Local businesses and restaurants could advertise and cater the event. I think a lot of people would come out to it and it would really bring our city together.

As a youth in Johns Creek I believe the recreational availability in Johns Creek is lacking. Often "hanging out" involves walking or driving around the area talking to each other and not knowing what exactly to do besides go to someone's house and sit around. I believe that if there was more recreational activity in the city for teens it would help elminate the mischief that bored teenagers often cause, as well as possibly reduce the draw to drugs and alcohol which has become a dark and often unspoken of part of Johns Creek. It would be nice if there was some kind of youth center, where teens could hang out after school and play sports, listen to music, or possibly help each other with school work. As a safe place this would help teens like me stay on the right track both morally, academically, and physically.
