Everywhere I drive these days, there seems to be some politician on a sign. These annoying contraptions blow down into the road, cover and litter scenery, and most of all, are annoying to the average eye.
These signs are built to be eye catching. Johns Creek does not need more drivers to be standing next to these signs after crashing into a pole while reading it. What really grinds my gears is when a red light turns green and some guy is transfixed on a sign instead of getting off the line. As well as receiving a symphony of horns, these drivers create unsafe road situations.
You know, sometimes when I look outside, I'm looking for a break from the urban jungle, for some greenery. Instead I am greeted by 20 signs of John Smith telling me to vote for him. No I will not vote for you, your sign tells me nothing about you. You are just another name on the side of the road.
As I am beginning to rant I'll finish things with a solution. Instead of taking the cheap way out a and posting signs all over the place, candidates should work harder and post ads in designated spots for ads: bulletin boards, newspapers, etc.. Politicians, do the community a favor and please try to fix this.
